OSA Student Exhibit, Collective Futures, Reception

As we enter into one of the more turbulent political climates in US history the role of the artist, maker, visionary, and thinker is one that will take on more importance to help us digest our current state of affairs. Younger generations today are more politically engaged and aware than many generations before them. It is crucial to have open and safe spaces for our young people to express themselves about their own thoughts and emotions regarding our collective future. This collection of projects from visual art students at the Oakland School for the Arts grades 6th-12th expresses their varied responses to today's political climate.
